New Student Union
Dear Hill-Murray Community,
With the hope of spring right around the corner, I am excited to inform you that construction begins this week on the new west-side entrance, leading into a beautiful new student union. The project includes a refresh of the outdoor patio, designed to enhance gatherings by presenting seasonal open-air options. The student union is a lofty, light-filled 4,000-square-foot addition that combines with the existing cafeteria and commons to provide much-needed additional space for student collaboration, learning sessions, events, and more space for student lunch periods.
The student experience is at the heart of what it means to be a Pioneer, and I am so pleased that we are moving forward as scheduled. This project is coming to life thanks to the dedication and support of the Hill-Murray community. It’s not too late to participate in Believe. Belong. Be Bold, and support this vital campaign for the future of Hill-Murray School. We need all hands on deck and still need to raise $500,000 to complete this campaign phase. Once we reach that goal, it will allow us to focus solely on the much-needed athletics facility improvements and the Pioneer Institute for Health and Wellness.
Construction begins this week. As with any construction project, there will be some temporary changes to the campus to accommodate the work. One of the most significant changes will be how our students enter the building. The primary entrances to the building will become the Athletic Entrance and the Main Entrance. The Nicholas Center doors and the Chapel entrance doors will be unavailable during construction. The Chapel itself will remain open during the entirety of the project. The regular parking lot traffic flow will remain the same. We appreciate your patience during this time. I will provide updates to you as the project moves forward. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Brent Johnson at bgjohnson@hill-murray.org.
This is an exciting time as we all Go Boldly for Hill-Murray!
Sincerely,
Melissa Dan, Ed.S.
