Finally, it is Yondr time! Students, please take out your phones and your open Yondr pouch. Your teachers will ask you to lock it away for the day. Our goal is to be phone free from the start of school until 2:40. It’s always best to have your Yondr locked when it’s empty in your backpack, as that will help keep the locking pin safe. Simply unlock your Yondr on the way into school each day, and after you release it at the end of the day, close and lock your Yondr again before you put in your backpack.

LENTEN PRAYER

Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God as we begin in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

From John’s gospel: Reclining at table with his disciples, Jesus was deeply troubled and testified, “Amen, amen, I say to you, one of you will betray me.” The disciples looked at one another, at a loss as to whom he meant.

Loving God -As we begin this Tuesday of  Holy Week, we remember the moment when Jesus sat with His disciples and spoke of betrayal. His heart was troubled, yet He remained faithful to Your will. Loving God, in our own lives, we face struggles, doubts, and challenges. Help us to remain faithful, even when it is difficult. Amen.

This message is for all STEM I students: Please report to the cafeteria immediately after 2nd hour for our field trip. We need to leave promptly at 9:15. Again, please report to the cafeteria after 2nd hour. Thank you!

On Wednesday, May 7th, we will be hosting an Ice Cream Social for families that will be new to the school next year.  This is a super fun social event that includes ice cream truck treats, fun games and school tours.  Because it is such an active and busy event, we are in need of many wonderful volunteers to help with running a game or giving tours.

Besides having fun, you will earn a service credit! However, since the deadline for service hours for this year is May 1st, this service experience would count toward next year’s service hours.  How great would it be to have one service experience completed for next year before school gets out this year?

If you are available and willing to help with this event on Wednesday, May 7th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm contact Mrs. O’Gary in the Main Office.  All volunteers will get to visit the ice cream truck too!

Thank you to those who participated in the butter braid sale.  You all raised over $1500 for the Senior All Night Party!  If you sold at least 10 butter braids your name was entered in the drawing for a TV.  I have the bucket of names and will be doing the drawing LIVE, now!!

LENTEN PRAYER

Before prayer:  Yesterday was Palm Sunday, which marks the start of holy week, one of the holiest of weeks in the liturgical year.  Each day this week we will focus on a scripture passage that is part of the holy week daily readings.

(do the prayer intro…)  From John’s gospel,  “Six days before Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. They gave a dinner for him there, and Martha served, while Lazarus was one of those reclining at table with him. Mary took a liter of costly perfumed oil and anointed the feet of Jesus and dried them with her hair.” (John 12:1-3)

Loving God, as we begin this Monday of Holy Week, we remember how Mary anointed Jesus’ feet with love and devotion. She recognized His presence and gave Him her very best. Help us, Lord, to do the same—to offer You our time, our talents, and our hearts with love and gratitude. As we enter into this holy week, we pray that our hearts and minds turn toward You.  Amen.

_______________________

This Thursday, which you know is Holy Thursday, the chapel will be available for quiet prayer and reflection during all WINS – you can sign up under Mr Benner’s name.  Again, it’s just quiet prayer, it’s not Mass or a prayer service. All are welcome – sign up under Mr Benner for this Thursday in the Chapel.
