Good morning, Pioneers! This goes out to the 8th graders!

Tomorrow you are all headed to VALLEYFAIR–I am so Jealous!

This is a reminder that Valleyfair is CASHLESS, so you will not be able to use any cash to buy food or souvenirs. You can put cash on a Valleyfair Credit Card once you get to the park, However,  I would plan ahead and make sure you bring a credit card or debit card with you!!

This is also a reminder for the 8th Graders that you are headed on your RETREAT on THURSDAY, and we are going to Feed My Starving Children for Service. You will need to make sure you are wearing closed-toed shoes. You are out of uniform, but please dress appropriately for FMSC. You will also need to bring money for lunch, as we will be stopping at fast food restaurants on the way home! Thanks, and looking forward to seeing you on Thursday!

Finally, it is Yondr time! Students, please take out your phones and your open Yondr pouch. Your teachers will ask you to lock it away for the day. Our goal is to be phone free from the start of school until 2:40. It’s always best to have your Yondr locked when it’s empty in your backpack, as that will help keep the locking pin safe. Simply unlock your Yondr on the way into school each day, and after you release it at the end of the day, close and lock your Yondr again before you put in your backpack.

PRAYER – MS. MARIN & MS. FANDRICH

Good Morning, Pioneers,

Today is a very special day in the Lasallian world, it is Founder’s Day.

One might ask…What is Founder’s Day…well, it commemorates the founding of the Christian Brothers by Saint John Baptist de La Salle, the patron saint of Teachers! This day is a time for Lasallians to reflect on the Lasallian Mission, the beautiful charism, and to honor St. John Baptist de La Salle, our Founder.

For Prayer Today: In honor of St. John Baptist de la Salle, being the Patron Saint of Teachers, we have a prayer for our amazing teachers!

Lord Jesus, You taught with words and by example—but always with out of love.

Please guide our teachers during this school day and every day to create a positive learning environment for their students.

Give them strength to meet the needs of their diverse learners.

Give them patience when moments are trying.

Give them creativity to develop engaging lessons.

Give them humility to recognize when their students are actually teaching them.

And give them loving hearts so that they may always teach out of love, just as You did, Lord.

Amen.

On Monday, the 19th, we will have 30 parking spots marked off for the groundbreaking ceremony of the Student Union. With the SRs gone, we should have plenty of space to park.

Thank you
