Back to School Safety & Security
We are excited to welcome students back next week! As we begin the new year, let us take a moment to consider both safety and security, along with the new beginnings and memories that lie ahead. Please use extreme caution entering and exiting the parking lot, and maintain cautious driving practices within the school premises. Parents, please remind your students to keep valuables in a safe place. While we are in a very safe school, we don’t want to leave items out. We have a frequent influx of guests for academic and sporting events, as well as external services. Let’s work together to ensure a happy and safe year ahead!
New Attendance Procedure for 2023-2024 School Year
On Monday, August 28, 2023 Hill-Murray will be testing a Parent Portal Attendance Service on Infinite Campus for reporting attendance online.
Phone calls, emails, and handwritten notes will no longer be accepted.
To report your student’s attendance status, including absence, tardy or early dismissal, log-in to your personal Campus Parent app or log-in to your account on any computer:
-Select the 3 lines on the left side of your screen, scroll down & select ‘More’.
-Under ‘More’ select attendance and select your student’s status.
Same day requests must be completed by 10:00 AM to be approved.
Please look for an email that will be sent out on Monday, August 28 that will include a video tutorial and detailed instructions.

Mandatory Senior & Parent Meetings
Please mark your calendars to attend one of these two meetings below. These meetings are mandatory for seniors and parent(s). Students will receive their transcript to date, a timeline for this year and important application instructions. They will also complete a form for graduation, stating the full name for their diploma. Together with their parent(s), students will sign a Transcript Release form so that we may release their transcript and course schedule to all colleges and scholarships they apply to. Please bring a pen and paper and plan to arrive 15 minutes early to obtain your file. Students unable to attend are asked to contact their college counselor to arrange a separate meeting.

HIGH SCHOOL ACTING WORKSHOP
August 22, 23, 24 | 7:00-8:30 PM | Hill-Murray Auditorium
This workshop is not required if you want to participate in theatre this year, and you can participate in any of the nights. Check your school email for more information or email Ms. Walth with questions.
At this workshop you will get to meet our 23-24 guest artist, play acting games, work on scenes for upcoming shows, work on acting techniques and audition skills.
Pioneer Foundation: Scholarship Opportunities
New opportunities are available for the upcoming school year! Volunteer time and talents in exchange for scholarship money. Training starts soon, so call Florie Peterson today at (651) 249-4076 or email PFFPA1987@aol.com.
Lunch Program
Our lunch program will remain the same this upcoming year. Each meal in the meal deal will continue to be priced at $6.50.
It’s important to note that Hill-Murray has chosen not to take part in the state’s free lunch initiative. This decision was made to safeguard the variety of our meal choices from the limitations imposed by the program. Families in need of assistance have qualified for the Free & Reduced Lunch program through our TADS Tuition Assistance Program.
We kindly request that families ensure their lunch account balances are kept up to date. If a balance exceeds $50 in arrears, it could be subject to collections.

The Hill-Murray Mothers Club invites you to stop by during Back to School Night on Wednesday, September 6th to learn about the HM Mothers Club and how to get involved. All mothers and guardians are members of the Hill-Murray Mothers Club.
